Current situation and rationality of the usage of motion sickness, kinesia, positional vertigo, movement vertigo etc. in academic papers

By searching the CNKI-CAJD(China National Knowledge Infrastructure-China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database),I retrieved the papers with motion sickness,kinesia,positional vertigo and movement vertigo,etc.in titles published before December 31,2011,and recorded the number of the papers published before the deadline,during the latest three years and the latest one year.From the numbers,I summed up the current status of these terms usage and analyzed the reasons for it.First of all,the changing tendency in the numbers is obviously characterized by usage habit,orientation and field-limitation.It is still difficult to unify and standardize their usages.Second,the positional vertigo and movement vertigo are of the same nature of movement applied in patients or normal persons,in different fields such as medicine,sports,aviation,aerospace and voyage.These terms should be used correctly based on standardized name and unified diagnosis norms.Third,motion sickness and kinesia are vague and general in expression.It is suggested to correct and improve them.
