Modeling and Simulation of an Arc Furnace for Voltage Fluctuation Investigation

An improved three-phase, non-linear, time-variant are fumace model is presented. Themode is based on v-i stochastic character and actual are fumace condition. The model can be used to simulatenetwork and substation including are furnace and can take the place of traditional linear electric are voltagemodel. The paper presents dynamic electric are voltage and current waveforms and main busbar voltagewaveforms, obtained by MATLAB simulation.
