A novel routing protocol was proposed according to the angle of inclination of the nodes involved in wireless sensor network.Simulation and analysis results showed the multi-hop performance in terms of average number of hops to reach the sink node when the distance between a source and a destination was fixed. The protocol needs only half active nodes to maintain the same probability of route failure in geographical routing protocols.A media access control(MAC) protocol with collision avoidance was proposed and its energy and time performance for transmitting a packet in one hop were evaluated.Furthermore, the latency performance was analyzed. The protocol can effectively decline energy consumption and latency and both of the parameters are less sensitive to the number of priority region compared with geographical routing protocols, then the network's lifetime was prolonged.
