OUT-OF-ORDER EXECUTION IN SEQUENTIALLY CONSISTENT SHARED MEMORY SYSTEMS:SIMULATION RESULTS
HU Weiw · Chinese Journal of Computers · 1997
This paper builds a cycle-by-cycle trace-driven simulation model to evaluate the performance benefits of out-of-order execution. Simulation results show that out-of-order execution is an effective way to improve the performance of a shared-memory system.
