The concepts of agent and multi-agent systems(MAS) are introduced.The function requirements of an integrated automation system for water gate pumping stations are presented.On this basis,an integrated automation system structure model based on multi-agents for pumping stations is put forward.The structure of the agent and working process of the system are discussed in detail.The system realization is described,including software and communication between different agents.
