WACDL:XML-based Web Application Component Description Language

Web Application is a kind of complex software systems.Current development tools focus primarily on implementation, while little consideration of the maintenance and evolution of software.During the process of development,developers are often faced with a puzzle,that is,when maintaining and evolving a Web application, they can often only get the implementation code,it's hard for them to gain a better understanding of the application architecture.In this paper,the problem which exists in the Web Application developing process is analyzed from the point of Web engineering,and a XMLbased and objectorientation technologybased Web Application Component Description Language (WACDL)is put forward.The essential idea of WACDL is introduced in brief,and an example is presented.
