Image retrieval based on low-level texture teatures

Methods for extracting low-level texture features such as gray level co-occurrence matrix based on statistics and wavelet transform based on frequency spectrum are analyzed and compared. The results show that the texture feature extraction method based on wavelet transform can be used more effectively to describe image low-level texture and achieve better retrieval results.
