Image Retrieval Using Both Edge and Color Features

This paper studies the application of image edge in the content-based image retrieval (CBIR) system.A algorithm combining the edge and color feature is introduced.The extraction methods of image features are given, and a practical CBIR system is designed. Experiments show that combining the edge and color feature properly can improve the retrieval performance.
