MTBE from butadiene-rich C_4S

METHYL TERT-BUTYL ETHET(MTBE) is made from butadiene-rich C4S,the presence of butadiene in feed to MTBE synthesis calls for some changes in operating conditions. A special inhibitor has been selected which can be fed to the catalyst without poisoning it.The activity and selectivity of catalyst is investigated by a 500-hour life experiment.During the life experiment the conversion of isobutylene is above 96%,and the selectivity of MTBE is above 99%,while the butadiene recovery has been kept at very high levels(≥99%).
