The Signal Detection in Bimodal Noise Based on Wavelet Packet Transform

By exploiting wavelet packet transform to analyze signals both in time and frequency space,this paper researches the statistic property of one special non-Gaussian noise-bimodal noise,the results of classic optimum detector are extended to the condition where the distribution is of background noise is bimodal noise,then a signal detection algorithm in bimodal noise is given.It is perfection and complement to the classic signal processing based on bimodal noise.The simulated result justifies this method.
