A Network Based Distributed On-line Monitoring and Diagnostic System

Some industrial computers and a server were co mbined to set up the on-line monitoring and diagnostic system of turbo-generat or sets. To share and transmit the running information of the generator sets, a distributed network system was introduced. The network operating system of well developed NOVELL was used in the LAN (Local Area Network) system, and the networ k clients are some monitoring computers and a diagnostic computer. Moreover, the LAN was extended to realize the share of data and remote transmission of inform ation.
