Designing and realizing a system level simulation platform of resource allocation algorithm for cognitive radio systems were studied, which offered a novel approach to evaluate the resource allocation algorithm in cognitive radio system by forming a local area network composed of several computers. The designing of the simulation platform was proposed. The key technologies were elaborated, and its general functions were validated. Moreover, aiming at a specified joint subchannel and power allocation algorithm of the cognitive radio system, the process of embedding it into the simulation platform was described, and the analysis of its performance was proposed.
