In this paper,some measures are discussed for optimizing the design of MIS based on Oracle database.The strategies includes the design of database structure,optimization of data dictionary,programming rational types of data,optimizing indexes and writing stored procedures,etc. By utilizing those methods,the performance of the management information system can be improved.
