A Survey of Detecting Regions of Interest in color images

For color image providing more information than monochrome image, detecting Regions of Interest in color image is being paid more and more attention. In this paper, the current technique for detecting ROI is surveyed. After the introduction of color space, some typically methods are discussed in detail respectively. At the end, several research trends of ROI detection are given. After the discussed above, the saliency map and the fuzzy approaches will have a promising application in color image processing area.
