Application of Resolvers in Digital Servo Actuator System

A digital servo actuator system using resolvers to measure the feedbacks of the rudder was designed.A SOC G105 designed for motor controlling was used as the controlling core.The principles of the sin/cos resolvers were introduced.The interface circuits between G105 and resolvers,and correlating peripheral circuits were presented.The angular rotation of the rudder was calculated using the resolver decoding module within G105.The experimental results showed the method simplified the controlling circuit and precisely measured the feedbacks of the rudder.
