Development and experiment of seafloor groundsill's shape and position surveying equipment

To survey seafloor groundsill s shape and position for sea platform effectively and subtly,the first homemade seafloor groundsills shape and position surveying equipment with independent intellectual property rights was developed based on multibeam bathymetry principle. The principle,development and composition of the seafloor groundsills shape and position surveying equipment were introduced,its design scheme and key techniques described,and an aborative sea experiment conducted based on its successful test in pool. In the experiment,the seafloor groundsill of JZ20-2MUQ offshore drilling platform was surveyed in detail,and the shape information of the pit scoured was achieved through data processing. Comparison with the results groped by diver shows the equipment's reliability,effectivity and ability to meet the needs of the measurement and safety evaluation of oceanic engineering platform's seafloor groundsill.
