A QoS-constrained ODMRP protocol in mobile ad-hoc networks

The ODMRP(on demand multicasting routing protocol),a protocol widely used in mobile ad-hoc networks(MANET),is improved to support QoS(quality of services) multicasting.A protocol referred to as QODMRP is proposed. The QODMRP emphasizes on investigating multicasting under constraints of delay and link bandwidths. Both the format of Join Query and that of Join Reply are modified to embed fields.Additionally, nodes in forwarding group are divided into two classes,i.e,non-QoS member and QoS member, which respectively deliver normal packets and constraint packets. The QODMRP is applicable to deliver multimedia packets in MANET.
