The Study of e-GIVENness Condition

The e-GIVENness condition is a semantic condition and its core idea is mutual entailment semantically.So the paper tries to propose the integrated analytic model of e-GIVENness in order to comprehensively consider the relating restriction factors of e-GIVENness and information structure.And then the paper applies the model into the analysis of several types of ellipsis.The result shows that the extracted components are usually focus-marked,and they become the new information,while the deleted components are given information.
