Research on Automatical Software Update Technology Based on C/S Model

An advanced suit of automatical software update technology introduced in order to resolve the maintenance problems dirived from C/S model.Firstly,the two layers C/S structure is divided into three layers using MIDAS and Fast Report tool.Secondly,in order to generate a smaller client-side program,local operate functions are encapsulated inside BPL component package.Thirdly,all kinds of files are stored by blob data type,so the upgrade file can be queried and transmitted by SQL.Finally,the agent service,using the methods of push and pull,achieves the intelligent automatic upgrade.The technique has the same effect of B/S,which can work without any manual participation.It has been applied to MIS of electrical power field successfully and can be extensively applied to C/S mode system development.
