Application of Mapinfo in Farmland Grading──A Case Study of Honghu City

Farmland classification refered to landuse modulus and land economics parameter.It would be completed with the help of computer for its large amount of data calculation and complex process.The article discussed the method of classification of farmland assisted by Mapinfo,showed how to display the calculation and the output of some key process by using the powerful of Mapinfo,such as the data collection,picture edition,area analyses,etc.Besides,it took the Honghu for example to prove that the usage of Mapinfo in the process of farmland classification had perfectly high working efficiency and data precision.It was rather a feasible technologic method of farmland classification.
