In digital image processing, there is a basic technique for extracting linear features in a binary image. In general, different algorithms have different results. In this paper, with references to other algorithms, wo describe a mixed series-parallel thinning algorithm. To demonstrate the advantage of the algorithm, we have presented some processed results.
