This paper introduced the method of develop gas meter Management Information System based on barcode technique,As part of application project in Shanghai Gas Business Corporation.The paper described the design and development of system from different viewpoint :the requirement analysis of system,and how to apply barcode technique.The paper also discussed perspective of applying the system finally.
