Research and development of wide-band direction finding

Wide-band direction finding is one of the key techniques in the fields of radar and electronic counter work.For its large relative bandwidth,when wide-band source radiates on sensors of array,their envelopes cannot be assumed to be constant.Compared with narrow-band direction finding,the wide-band direction finding could not be processed in time-domain,which adds to its complexity.Concepts related to wide-band direction finding are introduced,as well as factors that affect direction of angle estimation and performance parameters.The research status of wide-band direction finding is summarized,including the technological challenges and prospects of development in China.
