Computer simulation of competitive clustering behavior of granule system

Two-dimensional simulation competitive clustering behavior of the mixture composed of two sorts of granules was implemented.The collisions among particles,between particles and side walls,mid wall,and bottom were taken into consideration.It was shown by the simulation results that,for mild shaking strength,the particles clustered in the right compartment,for moderate shaking strength,the particles clustered in the left compartment,and for sufficiently strong shaking,a uniform distribution was found,being qualitatively accordant with the experimental results.
