Design and Implementation of Storage System Based on Peer-to-Peer Architecture

On the one hand the explosive increasing of information quantity poses a serious challenge for traditional storage system,on the other hand broadband has been popularized and the computer performance has been greatly promoted,on which background it is applicable to build a storage system based on peer-to-peer model.Firstly,the system architecture and models are presented,then focusing on sharing and discovering of storage resources as well as data accessing and maintaining,the load balance of storage management is achieved by the peer-to-peer routing and location mechanism and the reliability and availability are achieved by fragment and replica algorithm.By analyzing the key points of design and implementation,argue that the storage system based on P2P is viable.
