Research on a Novel PIR Human Detection Technology

A new method for human detection is proposed for improving working performance of passive infrared detectors,which is based on compound layout of PIR(passive infrared) detectors.The method is that both PIR detectors are arranged by compound layout and obtains optimal location with GA algorithm.When infrared heat-source of human body exists and moves in the FOV of PIR detectors,the detectors can detect the movement of infrared heat-source from multi-angle.The results of experiment show that it is an effective way to detect human movement by PIR detectors.This method is suitable for human detection systems of intelligent detection and identification based on PIR sensors.
