An Overview of Modality Study in Systemic-Functional Grammar

In the systemic-functional perspective,modality is an important part of the interpersonal function.In retrospect the study of modality, this paper argues that systemic-functional grammar combines and modifies both the traditional grammar orientation and logic orientation of modality to develop and extend the scope of this field.
