Research on Spatial Data Mining and Its Development Trend

Spatial data mining is defined as the nontrivial process of extracting the hidden,identifying valid,novel,potentially useful and ultimately understandable patterns or knowledge from spatial databases.First,the concept of spatial data mining was discussed.Then,the characteristics,the categories of main technologies and the problems of spatial data mining were described.The architecture of spatial data mining and the general process of spatial data mining were introduced in detailed.Finally,the development trend of spatial data mining was analyzed.
