Energy Efficient Password-based Authenticated Group Key Exchange Protocol Mechanism using Trusted Server

Tae-Il Song, Choong Seon Hong · 2012

Recently, security communication between server and mobile devices is one of the most important issues. 3PAKE protocol is a key exchange protocol with another user based on password which is stored in reliable server. In this paper, we improve group key exchange protocol which is proposed by Wang. In wang's paper, they propose a group key exchange protocol based on lightweight S-3PAKE protocol. Otherwise, they didn't consider group leave phase and key renewal phase which is necessary in device add phase. In this paper, we improve group key exchange protocol which is proposed by Wang then we define a key registration, key exchange, key renewal, group join phase, group leave phase. Also we analyze the security value of key exchange protocol. The simulation results show that our proposed mechanism can improve performance than existing protocol in terms of energy, key exchange.
