Design and Implementation of Water Resources Management Information System for the Yellow River in Gansu Province Based on Geographic Information System

In this paper,in order to implement sustainable water resource management,the water resources management system for the Yellow River in Gansu Province is designed and developed based on the ArcGIS Engine platform.The spatial and attrubute data for water resource are organized by using Geodatabase technology.The system gives full play to the advantage of Geographical Information System.Basically,it can be used to view and manage water resource spatial datas.Also,it supports some advanced functions such as data seaching and summerizing,spatial analysis,thematic mapping and water resource workflow managing such as water abstraction licensing and water abstraction measuring based on the daily works of water administration.
