The multimedia data is transmitted and storage frequently in the network, the more and more importance of the multimedia information security has sparkled an avalanche research of the encryption algorithm of multimedia. This paper is design of the multi-media data encrypt system based on berkeley db.First, this paper introduce hardware and sofeware of system structure,a simplified version of XviD package that is based on MPEG4 video codec.standard was obtained. Then, the VEA(Video.Encryption Algorithm) partial videoencryption algorithm and an encryption algorithm that scrambles the table of entropy coderwere designed. At last design of the multimedia storage and searches.
