Design and implementation of a College Financial Data Import System

This paper describes a successful implementation of a data import system,namely College Financial Data Import System.The implementation is based on.NET three-tier architecture and Client-Server structure.Several approaches-such as database transactions,logging tables,temporary tables,and backup tables are utilized to import the originally flawed,non-standard,batch-input financial data.This implementation can be used as an example for similar systems that aim at importing complex data from external data source into database.
