Function and application of decision-making supporting system for water resources management of Lianyungang

The structure and technical route of the decision-making supporting system for water resources management of Lianyungang is presented herein.The system consists of 8 sub-systems including the comprehensive informations related to water policy and water resiurces managemnt etc.and is mainly established with two parts——automatic monitoring system and the application of the softwares concerned.The hardware of the automatic monitoring system is equiped with the data transmission and remote sensing facilities with better communication effect,while ASP.NET is taken as the programming language tool for the development of the web-site;for which Mapinfo MapXtreme is applied as the developing platform for Web GIS.Based on the visualizasion treatment of the spatial information,the modernization cause of the water resources management therein is accelerated by the system with significant economic,social and ecological benefis.
