Application of Improved RIP Algorithm on SDH Network Management System

With the introduction of SNMP(simple network management protocol), many management systems of SDH network have changed their base from OSI model to SNMP. Referring to the RIP, which is used as a route protocol on Internet, this paper proposes a route solution to those SNMP- PDUs for the SDH network management system by improving and amending the RIP. Compared to those which adopted broadcasting means to forward SNMP-PDUs, the implementation of this proposal can reduce the network flow and save the bandwidth for network management greatly.
