A System Approach to Monitor Buzzwords in Plain English Publications

A system approach is adopted to language monitor in China.From this perspective,plain English pulications in China are regarded as part of language resources and the description of English status an indispensable part of the language monitor system.Buzzwords are selected as the monitoring target.The methods for constructing the corpus of mainstream English media in China and extrating buzzwords are developed.
