Ellipse Registration Method and Application in Normalization of Vehicle-logo

Image registration is an important technology in object recognition.Ellipse registration is very difficult to implement in practical engineering as a kind of image registration.The paper shows a method to register ellipse,the object is showed by ellipse and rectangle together,the center point and the four points of tangent between inscribed ellipse and rectangle can become five control points for the image registration,and then the image registration can be executed by affine transformation.The method is very useful for vehicle-logo normalization.
