Image inpainting is an interpolation which guesses and falls in an imformation-losing portion according to its surround-ings.Image inpainting belongs to the category of image restoration and reconstruction.Deduced from the variation method, anisotropic dif-fusion equations enjoy abroad application in image processing because of its preserving edges weU.Following these ideas,we present an image inpainting scheme based on anisotropic diffusion equation, which can simultaneously denoise and preserve edges effectively while filling in the missing area. This has been indicated theoretically and experimentally.
