Development of Smartphone-based Query Database for Medical Instruments Supply & Maintenance

Objective To develop a smartphone-based query database for medical instruments supply and maintenance. Methods A database based on card recognition was constructed and installed on a smartphone, and then the application of the formats and software and etc was compared. Results The database based on card recognition could be used for the rapid query of the suppliers of medical instruments maintenance and consumables. Some common formats, such as Vcard, CSV, Html and TXT, were compared, and TXT was found with the characteristics of small size, high query speed and high compatibility with WM smartphone and the smartphones with symbian, ios, Android operation systems. Conclusion The smartphones maybe with any of multiple operation systems combined with the software can be used for the rapid materials searching in medical service of disaster relief.
