Design of Central South-China gigabit LAN of China Geological Survey

The LAN of Yichang Center of China Geological Survey adopts the gigabit ethernet of star topology structure. The bandwidth of backbone network and network for every user is respectively 1 Gbps and 100 Mbps. The whole network covers three buildings and eleven stairs and includes 639 nodes, two equipment rooms and one networks center. Equipments include servers, backbone switch, submain switchs, router and UPS etc. The comprehensive transmission of multi-media information such as documents, data, sounds, graphs, images and videos etc. can meet the demand for geological survey, scientific research and management.
