Relational Database and the Geographical Spatial Data

This paper discussed the application status of database technology in geographic space information processing and the application prospect.In the analysis of based on the object-oriented method,we point out that the object relational model which combines relation model and object-oriented idea may be the best solution.This paper introduces two challenges in current database technology field,namely uncertainty and space time data processing.
