PCNN's Principles and Applications

A new artificial neural network— PCNN(Pulse Coupled Neural Network),which is based on the principle of biology, is reviewed. Models and principles of PCNN are described. Its characteristics are also analyzed. PCNN has many applications in the fields of image processing, image recognition, moving object recognition, communication, and optimization. At last, emphases of PCNN抯 future research are forecasted.
