Research of RMB Serial Number Identification System Based on DSP

A RMB serial number identification system based on DSP is introduced,which can automatic identification and record the RMB serial numbers through the system and achieve on the RMB serial numbers information management.The system chooses the dual core framework of DSP and CPLD,collect and recognize the RMB serial numbers through image tilt correction,binary,median filtering,characters orientation,feature extraction and characteristics identification processes.It can judge the uniqueness of known characters through advanced binary tree,through characteristics and peripheral features.It can also use USB communication to cooperate with PC and completed the database management of RMB serial numbers after identification.The system can recognize different versions and different denominations of notes.The system is characterized by good real-time performance,reliability and portability,etc.
