The Analysis of G.723.1 Codec Algorithm and Implementation in DSP

The basic principle of G.723.1 dual rate speech codec algorithm and the implementation strategies and key technologies about the TMS320C54X fixed-point DSP are analyzed. Compared with the results on the PC platform, we concluded that G.723.1 algorithm can perform correctly in the TMS320C54X fixed-point DSP. And the results have great practical significance; it can be applied to low-rate voice transmission on the network.
