Study on Real-Time Flood Forecasting in the Lower West River

In order to improve the accuracy of flood forecasting,the Kalman Filter and Fading Memory Least Square Method were used in real-time flood forecasting correction through the prediction plus a correction mode.The results show that the two methods can both significantly improve forecasting accuracy,whereas,the results obtained by the Kalman Filtering method is better.
