Study on real-time QoS based on priority schedulability in multimedia networks
Mingxing Lai · Computer Engineering and Applications Journal · 2011
The arrival function and service function are used to describe the arrival and processing of real-time packets in different priorities, and expected schedulability is proposed to describe the demand of delay of real-time packets. The instantaneous characteristic can be analyzed, and arrival packets with different priorities will be scheduled at any given real-time interval by the method. It investigates the probabilistic schedulability of real-time packets under exponential distribution service time in a FIFO network. The numerical analysis based on the theoretic results is consistent with the simulation analysis.
