Construction of SWMM Urban Drainage Network Model Based on GIS

The spatial analysis technology of GIS integrated with Storm Water Management Model(SWMM) was used to construct urban drainage network models rapidly,and a case study was carried out in a selected area of Macau.The results show that the GIS-based approach can extract the spatial information and attribute data efficiently and accurately.The predicted time series match well with the monitored one,which can provide more reliable predictions for the model application.This approach can be referenced by other distributed hydrological models for spatial analysis and attribute data extraction.
