Combined with the research and development of the GIS network system of construction materials, this paper analyses the selecting principles of the development environment in network application system and the construction of network environment. Based on the former uni-computer management system for the GIS of construction materials, this papers introduces the approach of the inquiry module design for the GIS of the construction material with the adoption of computer network management, realizing the information sharing among highway departments. The research and development of the network management system is conducive to the information communication and issues handling among highway departments. The development of reliable and functional network system of construction materials has significant importance to the GIS management of the advanced highway construction materials.
