Traffic shaping has an enormous impact on the provision of QoS(quality of service) guarantees. In this paper,we research and analyses Wireless Mesh Networks, and find it has the self-similar characteristic, which has a great effect on the network QoS. The fundamentals of network calculus,a set of recent developments which provide a deep insight into flow problems encountered in computer networks are summarized and refined. We find that statistical network calculus cans calculus the probability of the performance and the statistical bound. so it is must that using statistical network calculus analyses wireless Mesh networks. By using statistical network calculus, which uses in wireless network,a general mathematical model of the greedy fractal shaper for controlling self-similar traffic is proposed. Then the performance model of the greedy fractal shaper is derived, which includes the output characterization of the traffic shaper, queue length and delay. At last,Numerical analyses demonstrate that the shaping on Wireless Mesh Networks self-similar traffic based on greedy fractal shaper will not affect the end-to-end delay and buffer capability.
