Improved QRD-M Detection Algorithm in MIMO System

Based on studying the conventional QRD-M algorithm for Multi-Input-Multi-Output(MIMO) signal detection,an improved QR-Decomposition-based M detection(QRD-M) algorithm is proposed.Through arranging accumulative measurement of branches and setting termination threshold,the number of branches searched decreases in the proposed algorithm reasonably.Simulation results manifest that when SNR is 10 dB,the scheme of modulation is 16QAM and using 4×4 antenna configurations,the improved algorithm can get 30% reduction in computational complexity compared with the conventional QRD-M algorithm without losing detection performance.
