An Optimized Design of Microprogrammed Control Unit Including the Predicted Unit

The Microprogrammed Control Unit (MCU) is mainly used to the ordering and obeys of microinstruction. This text is detailed to introduce the architecture of the LongtiumC1 microprocessor's Microprogrammed Control Unit, taking high performance as the target, carried on the optimization design to the predicted unit of the MCU. The optimization design of the microinstruction format is designed and the technique of pipeline is adopted in the MCU design. It's indicated that the system performance and the executive speed have been improved than ever through the result of simulation. And the result of simulation shows that the design is achieve our expectant purpose.
